We are excited to be rolling out WELLNESS PACKAGES this year!

These wellness packages contain all the recommended care for your pet and allow you to prioritize and choose between the basic necessary care for your pet, or the gold packages which include additional recommended services for your kitten.

INCLUDED IN PROTECTED KITTEN PACKAGES:

Rabies Vaccine protects your pet against, of course, Rabies! In our area, we see a large number of rabies-positive wildlife, and even fairly common cases of rabies-positive household pets.

FVRCP Vaccine is a combination vaccine that protects your pet against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia. This is considered a core vaccine and should be given to every cat, every year- across the united states. Diseases this vaccine protects against can be transmitted to indoor cats as well by owners and other animals coming in and out of the house. Diseases can track in on your shoes, your other pet’s paws, etc.

FELV Vaccine protects your pet against Feline Leukemia. This disease is not the same as the type of cancer found in humans by the same name. Feline Leukemia is a virus that greatly shortens a cat’s lifespan to an average of 3 years. The virus can be caught through testing (note, this testing is included in our wellness packages!) before your pet shows symptoms. Feline Leukemia has no available treatment- all that can be done is to support their immune system and wait for the virus to take effect. Once symptoms begin to show in an infected cat, almost all pass away from complications of the disease or must be euthanized due to a severely declined quality of life.

INCLUDED IN GOLD PACKAGE:

FELV/FIV Testing looks for commonly transmitted viruses in cats- Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia. These can be passed down from the mother during pregnancy and nursing.
